This is rather simple but overlooked. I figured this out after loading tons of disks looking for my latest Ubuntu .iso that I could take a large CD-RW disk and burn normal iso images onto it. This allows you to erase the last release from you .iso CD-RW disk and burn the latest version onto it. It also eleviates wasted disks with bad burns as you can just errase it and reburn.
