9.04 compatibility question ?!?!

My computer is dell inspiron 1720

intel core2 duo
2 gig ddr2 ram
160gb sata
nvidia 8600m gt 512-mb

would this work flawlessly? what about drivers?
do all 8.10 drivers work with 9-04 ??
is there less software available than for 8.10 ?

after all, should i stick with 8.10 for now?

No - it's still in Beta. Have a look at the release notes (http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/jaunty/beta)

Unless you're prepared to put up with possible instability and unless you're prepared to help with beta testing, the answer must be yes.

But if you would like to try something still in Beta, download the CD iso and run it live. At least you'll see if it will run on your machine.

Or - wait till the final is released and grab it then. There's less than a month to go.
