I installed a 64 bit version of 8.04 on my PC and have wanted to go to a 32 bit to run more software with less tweaking. Will 9.04 require a clean install or can I upgrade to it from the 64 bit version?

If I have to do a full clean install, will it know about the Vista partition? I suspect it will, but I am just asking.

9.04 seems like a good time too start over, but I sure would prefer to upgrade.

If you are going to 32-bit then you will have to do clean install.

the installer "should" see your vista partition but look carefuly at what it proposes to do before proceding , ubiquity sometimes has a mind of it's own .
