I ran into some big problems. I use a smc usb adapter for wireless (smcwusb-g). After doing a clean instal of 9.04 beta, i have no wireless in my network manager. I see the device in gnome-device-manager, but there's nothing in 'iwconfig' . I switched to a d-link usb adapter (dwa-111), but the connection keeps breaking all the time.

I'm starting to not like ubuntu so much anymore. Every update seems to be messing something up instead of making it better.

Please help me... i really want to get the smc working.

thx

For that SMC adaptor, you'll need to follow these instructions:-

well... it seems i solved part of it. I managed to get it working with ndiswrapper:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/Ndiswrapper

the problem I have now is that i get this error when opening the ndiswrapper:
"unable to see if hardware is present"

but besides that it seems to be working ok, even though this whole thing seems unstable to me. (sometimes i'm affraid to even restart :) )
