I suggest you follow the link on the ppa's page that says Follow these instructions

There is even a video.

Definitely recommend watching the video first. Really good. Step by step guide.

I should add that at first I could not find it in synaptic (in order to install)

When I ensured the search box was empty, then clicked on origin>ppa.launchpad, amarok14 appeared and could be installed.

Of course could just be me being clumsy.
