Can not install Beta in VMWare Fusion

I get a whole bunch of Nautilus windows trying to open when I boot from the ISO into Live CD mode. Then I have to run ubiquity from terminal because the icons on the desktop do not show up. After the install completes, nothing happens. I do not think it writes the bootloader. I force a reboot and nothing loads, not even grub.

Anyone else had any luck?

same problem here in VMware workstation 6.5 on windows vista 64.

I have a current version of VMware Fusion on a new MacBook pro 17in. I installed Jaunty using the .iso, but after logging in Ubuntu repeatedly opens file manager windows (the same nautilus error), but I also noticed that VMware tools is attempting to auto-install vwware tools, but cannot complete - canceling vmware tools installation seems stop this error... but will return if you try to install vmware tools again.
