Hi, i bought a genius 5.1 PCI audio card last month, and it works perfectly.
Whan i open my sound settings, ubuntu detects my sound card as C-Media CMI8738.
I can see a lot of stuff there:

- Master
- PCM
- Sint.
- Line In
- CD
- MIC
- Phone
- Pc Speaker
- Aux

My question is:
What are the sint, Phone and aux for?

It seems a very specialiced sound card you have.

Sint. is to plug in a sinthesizer (that piano-like instrument).
Phone is to plug in an old vinyl player.
Aux. to plug in almost whatever you like.
