I just installed Ubuntu 9.04
When I go to "Places" and "Connect to server" I choose "Windows Share" and I enter my local server address "192.168.1.1"
After few seconds I get a screen that says:

Cannot display location "smb://192.168.1.1/"
No application is registered as handling this file

Anybody? Any ideas on how to fix this?

If it helps any, I am trying to connect to Linux based server, SME Server contribs.org
I don't think there is anything wrong with the server since my XP, Vista and Macintosh machines have no problem connecting to it.

Also, I have noticed other posts here that the network connection is broken after upgrade to 9.04
The reason I did not post there is because I have internet connection just fine, as a matter of fact, I am using 9.04 right now for this message. The only problem is trying to connect to a local network server.

Another piece of information that might be helpful in diagnosing the problem, smb connection is the only one that has issues. When I use "connect to server" and choose ftp connection, it works fine.
