I have a Visioneer Onetouch 7100 USB scanner and an Apple 1 GB ipod that I can not seem to get Ubuntu to detect. I have installed the scanner program, Paperport, under Wine but it will not load. Can someone help me get them working please?

Hi

Sorry mate but your scanner is not supported see the SANE website link below for details;

http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html#Z-VISIONEER

I had 1 and gave up and bought a second hand Canon CanoScan N650U Flatbed Scanner to replace it.

On the iPod front, what model is it, nano shuffle etc. see link below

You may have better look with that, my 80GB Classic works fine, but some work is needed once we identify the model.

Hi!

I recently bought a Canon Pixma MP 258 all-in-one. I downloaded the printer driver from Canon's website and installed. It prints without any problem. However, the scanner is not detected in SANE. I checked with the SANE site and found that Canon MP 250 is supported. Any ideas/suggestions would be most welcome.
