hi, i got a new studio 1555. it came out like 2 weeks ago
i want to install ubuntu just to play around with and learn it. i am pretty good with windows.
my last experience of installing ubuntu was on my xps 420 desktop, when i did that everything worked just perfectly, even the volume dial on the keyboard
however when i installed ubuntu on the notebook it was pretty bad - no power management, wrong screen resolution, quite a few other problems.
is this because the hardware is too new to have drivers in the lateset ubuntu?
would i be better off waiting for jaunty next month and would this fix the problem?
dell offer no drivers nor do ati for the graphics card (m radeon 4570)
thanks,
