Hello, I am using Linux Mint 6 KDE RC1 (equivalent to Kubuntu 8.10). Yes, I know it's only a release candidate. But anyway, in just about any gnome distro, I can print to my HP Photosmart C3100, both locally and over a network, in both KDE and GNOME programs.

I much prefer KDE, so I use it. Printing in GNOME programs (evince) works locally, not sure about network, while KDE programs (Okluar) don't work at all, the printer moves the paper up to start printing, but never does. Now obviously I can just use evince to print everything, but it seems stupid to me that Evince works and Okular doesn't.

Oops. I seems that HPLIP is extremely out of date. I'll try updating it.
