yeah, but why isn't he using the bp firefox instead of the mozill.org one? The bp one is much easier to deal with IMO. Plus he's using the debian version of synaptic... why not the backport from hoary? Over all an ok article... see the reactions of others here:

Unless you allow Ubuntu to just erase the entire hard drive and set up its own partition structure, the partition manager is definitely not very user friendly.
Thank god I'm not the only one...

I don't see how difficult the partition manager could possibly be. Everything is so concise, short-to-the-point, informative, labeled with warnings.. what more could anyone want? :\

Something as simple as Rescue CD, Partition Magic 8, or Fedora Core 2's partition manager...
