Hi all.
I have googled and searched the forums for articles on this laptop but unable to come up with anything helpful.
Problem: I recently installed Ubuntu 8.04LTS on this machine for a friend who wanted a more user-friendly computer experience than Windoze. I had to do the installation at my place, where we have broadband, but my friend is on dial-up.
Everything went swimmingly and she loves it, but can't connect to the internet. I have brought it home and am trying to find out what the modem is but can't even find anything on the Asus website. I installed Gnome-PPP, but it says 'No modem detected on your system'. She was able to connect fine with Windows XP.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there some sort of work-around or perhaps a generic linux driver I can install?
Model # is W3H00A.
Thanks in advance,
RoyJ
