Its my 1st Linux Ubuntu install and i appreciate any help. Here is my problem:
i install Ubuntu 8.04 LTS Server 64 bit on a secondary HDisk on my PC which is running Vista home premium on the Primary HDisk.
Installation went fine as i followed all the instructions. After installation and on the first boot, after i chose boot from Ubuntu...i am entering my login info ( the same i entered during set up and password) but it keep on saying incorect...sometime there is this display " Ubuntu 8.04.2 webserver1 tty1..on the next line the login prompt. ( webserver1 is my intall name)..
What did i do wrong? I search everywhere but cant find any answer.The installation guide says that after i login, i should be able to enter the system. Note that i used the same user name twice during the set up when it was asking for the fullname of the user and the user. can this be the problem?
