I have a USB bluetooth dongle that is noticed in Ubuntu, I can successfully pair my bluetooth headset but I cannot reach my ultimate goal of having a working alsa device that I can use in Skype or any audio application. I have tried editing my .asoundrc file like I was told in many similar discussions. The default Gnome bluetooth applet only allows you to pair the headset, not set up the alsa device. I did install the Blueman bluetooth manager and it allows me to pair the headset and connect to the headset audio service, but I have no idea if it is creating an alsa device or not? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
