Does the geforce gpu draw more power than the x4500HD?

I have decided to go with system 76 for a laptop for college so i can my HVAC degree.

Yes, the nVidia draws more power than the X4500.

Also heats more. Mine NVIDIA 9300M idles at around 57 Celsius.

Is that a safe temp?

I am set to buy the pangolin performance in the summer when i get the money to buy a laptop for college.

For a laptop, yes that is a safe temperature, albeit a little high for idling.
