Here's a clear description of my ongoing (annoying) trackpad issue.

+ Trackpad works great and as expected in all OS X contexts
+ Trackpad works great and as expected in VMware fusion with XP guest OS
+ Trackpad has the issue described below in VMware fusion(2.0.2) and Ubuntu(8.10) guest OS

Issue: Left-click by touch-tapping does not work correctly. Instead of the expected behavior of a left-click event being sent by a touch-tap; the left-click event is sent by any trackpad motion following a touch-tap. So to send a left-click, you need to touch, then (annoyingly) touch to touch-move again. The following touch-move sends the left click event. There is no time limit. It is noted that physical press-click of the track pad works normally as expected to produce a left-click event without issue. Also right clicking with two fingers and scrolling with two fingers works fine.

Any thoughts appreciated!
