I'm having troubles with my Dell Dimension 8400

I'm guessing my video card is going out again!

this is the 3RD one

Here is what I see as of lately

What your looking at the visualization in VLC
Some of the Take Screenshot app got in the picture as it was folding closed
but this is what I see on THE WHOLE screen and the computer becomes unresponsive to anything

Is it the Graphics card going out again?

I bought a Dell E520N with Ubuntu Linux May 2007. I got it with an nVidia geforce 7300LE 256MB. I noticed that one game (Einstein) caused the screen to go black for a few seconds then come back. Later I had more troubles. Then even the boot BIOS screen had vertical lines. It was 11 months old so Dell replaced the card. The new card was fine for six months then I noticed some times it would flash to black for a couple of seconds. My solution was to remove the nVidia card while it was still working and run with just the on-board Intel graphics. No problems since. I bought nVidia because my 2002 Gateway has nVidia and still works great. SuperTux and kbounce are about as demanding as I get for graphics though.
