In Ubuntu 8.10 I was able to enable WiFi on the laptop by checking a box upon the next restart to enable the proprietary driver... I was suprised to find that I have not seen that yet after rebooting a few times. I am connected to the internet and it is up and running. (wired/ethernet) But the WiFi option doesn't work.

Bump
BUMP
Bump!

-This is very important to me and I need it to work right. I have tried connecting to my network by using the "Connect to Hidden network" option, but it didn't work... And I have tried wifiradar out of the repositories, but no networks show up... For some reason it asks for my password to save the changed network settings...

Why are you using Jaunty Alpha if it is so important?
Jaunty is still in testing and many things are not working yet.
Anyway, this is the wrong place for your post. It belongs in the Development and Programming/Jaunty testing forum.
