View Full Version : cedega + steam = problem

i just installed cedega cvs and im trying to install steam with cedega but every time the install gets to 99% it says "could not execute external program C:\program files\steam\steam.exe"

search the forums, i just saw a post yesterday somewhere around here about using a certain patch of steam...someone had the link in a post.
i'll look around for it

thanks now that i got past that now i have a error it says
"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way

That steam is just a joke tbh, Bought the game, no luck with steam, so i just downloaded a version online and used my own serial key so its still legal.
Some joke, even my friend on windows has had trouble with it.

the same problem happened to me. the part where it says "could not execute external program C:\program files\steam\steam.exe". does steam appear in the left collum of cedega? it should. click on it once. once you click on it, nothing should appear in the icons box. what you need to do is create it. go to tools => icons/folders => add icon. then type where you installed it. if you installed it in the fake C drive, type the external program problem.
C:\program files\steam\steam.exe
it should then work.
