Hi everyone. Just installed Intrepid on my macbook 4,1. i set up the internal mic based on the instructions and it works fine in sound recorder. I can't get it to work however in skype. I set my 'sound in' to HDA Intel (hw:Intel,2). That should do the trick right? Any ideas? Thanks!!!

According to what instructions did you set up your mic? After upgrade from Hardy, my mic isn't detected, and I haven't had luck finding clear instructions on how to find it and enable it.

Hey guys,

I know I'm a bit late for the topic, but here's a link to a thread in the Skype forums where someone gives some 'tweak' solution:

http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=98576

What the guy did:
1. open volume control
2. go to edit/preferences and check all the possible options and then close preferences
3. go to 'recording' tab and click on the microphone to disable it
4. go to options tab and choose 'front mic' instead of 'microphone'
5. close volume control
6. open volume control again
7. go to 'recording' tab and click on the microphone to enable it again
8. go to options tab and choose back 'microphone' instead of 'front mic'
9. close volume control

Needed a little fiddling, but it works!
