Update manager prompted me for a "Partial Upgrade" which I did. Lots of updates etc.

Removed my program icons from the top bar. Meaning they do not show but if I click the location the program starts.

Also gone are the icons on the bottom bar for shutdown, keyboard, sound etc.

Never a good idea to do partial upgrades until you know what is being held back--best advice I have is to wait til tomorrow--next series of updates will most likely fix your problem & remember not to do partials in the future.

Disagree! This is a alpha release and we know things might go wrong. If nobody report on the "Partial Release" then things do not get fixed.

Am very happy with Jaunty in general.

Developers are aware of these, especially when these a large transition going, building for GNOME 2.26

Never do partial upgrades. unless you know what you're doing!
