Hello, I am hoping to make a complete reference for people with this laptop in the newest 8.10 version of ubuntu. All my google searches end up with people having 7.04 issues, etc.
Anyway, it seems like this computer, via the alternate install, goes into low graphics mode, not enabling the video card.
I am not able to recover the system that I ruined the working low graphics display driver for (xorg.conf still reads default).
I'm ok with reinstalling the system, I just want to know how to do it right so I can get the video card working. Hope this isn't a repost!
