about cube

hey, i am trying to activate the cube, i read some threads which showed how to activate it with activation and inactivation of "Workspaces on a cube", but my problem is i cannot find this option on my ubuntu 8.10. Can anyone help me to figure it out? Thanks!!

Go to System/Preferences/Appearance.
Open CompizConfig Settings Manager.
(If you don't HAVE the CompizConfig Settings Manager install it from Synapic (search on, and install, compizconfig-settings-manager)).
Open the "General Options" plugin.
Go to "Desktop Size" tab.
Increase "Horizontal Virtual Size" from 2 to 4.
Activate these plugins from the CCSM menu:
* Desktop Cube
* Rotate Cube
Close CCSM.
Use Ctrl+Alt+Left Mouse Button and move the mouse.
You should see your Cube.
