Hey, I would say i know a fair amount of linux, and i have installed it on a couple machines and i have only experienced problems with dell computers. Each time i have succesfully installed linux ubuntu on a dell, for some odd reason it only worked with a fan sitting right next to it. So today, I tried to install linux ubuntu on a dell dimension (not sure of the exact model), and it installed in some ways correctly. I say only in some ways because the operating system installed correctly, but grub bootloader doesn't get along with the BIOS. So I restored mbr using Super Grub Disk, I was then hoping that with the Super Grub Disk, I could boot linux ubuntu with it. This was not the case, and instead, error 15 showed up when I chose all the options to boot linux from, and none of them worked. Windows works fine and I don't need Super Grub Disk to boot it, but I want to be able to use linux as well. In the help menu, it said that it would look for "menu.lst". Any suggestions on how to fix this without flashing or replacing the BIOS chip.
