Hi!
I'm using intrepid ibex on a vostro 1310. It's been an amazing experience. I've left win on the past.
Sometimes i just don't want that my laptop charge the battery when it isn't full.
i was wondering if anybody knows any program or any option on ubuntu 8.10 to make this possible.
Thank you!

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but are you wondering how to make it so that your laptop does NOT charge when the battery is NOT full?
If that is the case, why not just unplug the AC adapter?

Or remove the battery and leave it plugged in. then the battery won't drain and you'll still have power.

Hi!
If I unplug the AC Adapter it'll discharge the battery and that isn't what I'm looking for. I want that my laptop works directly with the AC power without charging the battery if it isn't full charged.
One option it's what FraggedLocust said. But it isn't practical. I was looking forward for a software tool that allow me to do this, but I haven't found it.
If anyone knows it, let me know...
Thank you very much for your comments and help!

On Hard & Jaunty, Dell's airplane mode manager will do this.
Uncertain re: 8.10.
