Hi i currently boot ubuntu and windows (of which the later is more of a safety net rather than an active system) I was just wondering if it would be safe for me to add another partition to my hard drive in order to try the 9.04 alpha release or if further dividing my system would be a bad idea?

I run Ubuntu 9.04 64bit and have done for about a month on a seperate partition

I haven't suffered any crashes. Though might be different for you.

theoretically it shouldn't be any more risky having a 3rd operating system should it?
