Is there anyway to deactivate the genie effect on the dock? I like the display of my launchers but I don't care for all the animation. It just annoys me. Its the same reason I keep my dock stagnant on my mac.

I think my question is the same as the OP...
I like GLX-Dock, and have it set up nearly perfect for me. The last thing that I find annoying is the hide/unhide animations: they all do this "shrink/grow" thing from the middle of the screen edge.
All I want is a simple slide up/slide down, like cairo-dock (without Open GL), Gnome-Do Docky, etc. Is it possible to have such a simple animation and keep the rest of the Open GL acceleration?
