Not a top of the line G5 by any means, but since I'm on a P3-450 this thing would still be hot compared to my PC.

Looks kinda like a miniITX Mac :P

Had I not spent all my Christmas money on a Carbine kit for my Steyr M40, I'd have enough money in my "toy" fund for one of these :-(

You guys are a little behind ;) This has been on OS news since yesterday!

But yeah, it is a great little machine... only drawback is the lack of usb... only two and those will get eaten by mouse and keyboard... you could use a hib but that would kill the aethetics IMO...

If you use the Mac keyboard it has a USB hub built into it (two additional ports)

so you lose one USB port for the keyboard, then plug the mouse into the keyboard so you still have two USB ports left (one in back of the computer, the other on the keyboard) :)

Plus a FireWire port.

At any rate, its a bargain computer not a full tower anyway

I'm also considering getting one but it has one real disadvantage for me: No S-Video out so I can't connect it to my TV which I would have bought it for :-(

OSX is Mac's only decent operating system. They went from having the worst OS, (OS 1.0 through 9.0) to having one of the best ones in the world (OSX). After seeing the screenshots of OSX and seeing Windows I don't know how anyone would choose Windows...

Try running them side by side for a while ... then you'll never understand why anyone chooses Windows and why Microsoft isn't out of business yet :p

All the advantages of *nix but as easy and newbie friendly as Windows.

Would be great :) Thanks, must have missed that. But I will first probably send a mail to their support to ensure that the whole thing will be working :-) Their shop info about this adapter is quite inconsistent imo :-)

Lovechild: It sure can run Ubuntu. Just a normal PPC computer looking hot and compact with a nice price tag. :D

Because,
1. Mac is expensave ...
2. Mac has sucked until OSX so it doesn't have the best reputation...
3. Most people like to hop on the bandwagon and use what everyone else uses because they believe that the majority must be right...

*nix sounds like the bad guy from a James Bond movie...
