Since i wont have internet access for a week i need something to work on offline,are therr any guides and do you guys have any tips, also if u know an ebook about Ubuntu it would be great

There arent too many tweaks really. If you are looking for more speed you should install every package from ground up... like install Arch instead of ubuntu or linux from scratch, that should give you enough headache to begin with.

or some ebooks in Ubuntu...i dont know...i kinda need to learn it more but without using the internet for a while...

Awesome, anything i could do offline using the terminal, i need to understand it more and have a little practice,
Any customazation via compiz? I think i have to have internet for that ... Any responses are welcome

You could just go through all your apps and fool around with the preferences. That ought to keep you busy for a week or so.

I really dont have any apps, well besides the ones that came by default,
Unless thats what u are talking about...
