View Full Version : [ubuntu] Why is wpa_supplicant running on a desktop

Looking at my bootchart I see wpa_supplicant is started.

I have a desktop with no wireless. So why would I want
to have a process to control wireless access.

How does one stop wpa supplicant being started
(other than removing the package which I have done
but synaptic is complaining because it says it is required)?
