Have anyone had luck getting Final fantasy XI to run, under cedega or otherwise ?

Nope, it doesn't work. That is the main reason I still dual boot, been playing FFXI for almost 3 years now, wish it would finally get supported, but as the game gets older it's less likely to gain support.
From what i've read, POL is what gave the most problems with installing, but I wasn't even able to finish the install of POL before getting errors, so until I'm done with FFXI i'll continue to dual boot.

Well, they stopped making FFXI for the PS2 so it might be more difficult now to find. Probably only options are
-dual boot (vanadiel collection is roughly $30 and has all expansions)
-buy an xbox 360 and play with that

Yea...as said before the biggest problem is that POL need to work and trying to emulate 2 programs working together is going to be a big problem. I'm not a developer but that's my best guest. As far as cedega goes, best guess is that they will never support it. Only because they support games that their subscribers want to play. Since no FFXI player wants to subscribe to cedega since it doesn't work, the developer at cedega will never work on FFXI. :(
Such a vicious cycle -_-;;
