G1 Android Music Player Question

I'm having trouble easily transferring playlists from ANY music player app (Rhythmbox, Banshee and Amarok specifically) to my G1. The songs that the playlist describes transfer fine, but the playlist file (the m3u) does not copy to the G1. I can do it manually (exporting), but playlists from Rhythmbox and Banshee are immediately deleted by Android. Playlists exported from Amarok are truncated in the music player, meaning that the m3u file STILL shows all the tracks that I put into the playlist, but viewing and playing the playlist from the music player app only shows a few songs.

I HAVE been able to work around this a bit by plugging in the G1, opening Amarok and manually re-creating the playlist from the files ON the G1 and then saving the playlist onto the G1. This, obviously, is clunky and duplication of effort and completely unacceptable when you want to have multiple playlists on your G1.

I'd love to hear how others are managing their music on the G1.

dudes, i'm not able to transfer music form any music program to my G2 magic exept with banshee....
it's a problem because i don't like it very much, and it lacks some freatures...
i've tryed rhythmbox, songbird, amarok 2, and my exile bu noone has the ability to make the MTP plugin work... i'm soooo sad becaus i don't know what to think.....
nautilus sees the g2 an muonts well his SD card... so why does this programs not detect the phone?!?!?
anyone has any idea?!? solution?!? skills?!? =)

dude, just drag and drop your music from the library to the SD card in rhythmbox. The files on the phone are even automatically organized by artists and albums.

I've seen people ranting about Rhythmbox lacking android support(I use a G1). But at least it can be synced as an ordinary portable music player. I am fine with this.

It took me some time to figure out the drag & drop thing though. Poor designed UI.
