Problem with the fullscreen mode for games

Hello,
I've noticed that the mouse arrow is still present when I switch to full screen mode with some games like open arena.
How is it possible to remove the arrow.
I've tried to disable the visual effect but it did'nt seem to help.

nevertheless, try this command;

Ubuntu
metacity --replace

Kubuntu
kwin --replace

[binbash]

I had same problem at some games and disabling compiz fixes it as mentioned above
