I wiped Vista 64 off of my laptop and installed Ubuntu last night. I can get the wired controller working but not the wireless.

I am a noob to Ubuntu but not an Ultra-noob. I have it installed on my laptop at home and my desktop at my office as well. But I never had problems with any hardware before this latest installagion.

sudo lshw
Shows that an Inel Wireless card is present, just nothing about the model or anything.

It seems I can right click on the networking Icon on the top of the desktop and wireless is a selectable option, but it does not detect any of the million SSIDs that surround me immediate area.

Any help, guidance, or anything is appreciated.

I have seen people have success by installing drivers or compiling drivers, but I have never done that before. I Am, however, a quick study.

Thanks again for anything anyone can provide.
