The premium account benefits are :

- Life time Recorded stats
- Replay of nearly all matches played in official servers
- You can use Hellbourne units
- You can play as Commander
- You can set your per-match stats
- Persistent items (accessed from the web-site)
- The knowledge you've given money to a game that supports Linux ^^ Worth it on its own IMHO ^^

Play time limit has been removed from free accounts ^^

- Life time Recorded stats
- Replay of nearly all matches played in official servers - full repplays of all games played on officiall servers
- You can use Hellbourne units -
Well non premium can use Hellbourne units but only onces per each type during a match (three times total but different hellbournes), premium has no limit to how many times you can use the hellbourne units.
- You can play as Commander -
you can play as commander as free user as well
- You can set your per-match stats
- Persistent items (accessed from the web-site)
- The knowledge you've given money to a game that supports Linux ^^ Worth it on its own IMHO ^^

Play time limit has been removed from free accounts ^^

what you get for premium is also

2 extra inventory slots
and you can lead and create clans

you can tweak the graphics to be very low... it will look ugly, but it will play :)

more important in my opinion is the internet speed

Savage 2 has been free since December. For $10 you get a premium account which allows you a few extra features: unlimited hellspawns and two extra item slots. It is an online team based FPS/strategy hybrid game that's loads of fun. One player per team is the commander who directs troops in a purely RTS (real time strategy) roll. The other players play an FPS (first person shooter) roll. The game runs very well on Linux.

I still prefer savage 1 gameplay, even though I'm still not very good at it. Added bonus is that it's much less demanding, hardware-wise, than savage 2. The new community-supported XR client for savage 1 recently came out too, and has fixed a few issues I had. Get it from:
