I've set up Psychonauts to play in Wine just fine. It's laggy at times, however.
I've disabled FSAA, Adv. Shading, and switched to metacity (metacity --replace) rather than Compiz while playing. It says on Wine Reviews that I should make some registry tweaks to ratchet up the performance a little more - however, it neglects to describe the tweaks in question.
Does anyone know what tweaks I need to make, or some other ways to squeeze performance out of Psychonauts? (It used to run just fine in my old WinDOS XP install, by the way)
