Hi everybody, here's a funny one (probably trivial too)

Here's my problem : After struggling with ATI to get a proper dual head, I finally made it. I have my laptop screen 1280x800 and a LCD 1680x1050, both of them showing an independent desktop (not "Big Desktop"... Individual desktops...) YÉÉÉÉ

BUT Here's the problem : How in @£¤¬£¢¤ do I switch between the desktops ??? Looking at it is one, but I'd sure like to use it !!!

Thanks
François

If you are running independent desktops I believe you need to set up XrandR.

Thanks for your answer.

XRandr is up and running (have been using it for quite a while) and I also tried Xinerama but it's a little too CPU intensive for my humble box

I happened to read the release note from ATI and it states "Known bug : Using independent displays, some users are unable to access the secondary monitor".

I wrote to ATI and they answered "working on it"

I guess i'll just wait (I'll be back, Al Gore...)
