Adding Printer using Airport Extreme

I'm a newbie using a Dell Mini 9 with Ubuntu 8.04. I'm trying to add a Canon Pixma 300, which is connected on a home network using Bonjour and Airport Express. I also have a CAnon MX310 which is connected to an Airport Extreme. I'm not sure where to start with this, but couldn't add printer using add printer - new printer - appsocket/HP jetdirect. I have the IP address of hte printer, but that doesn't seem to make any difference, regardless of whether I use port 9100 or port 9101.

I tried to download nmap - 64 bit for linux - 4.85Beta3-1.x86_64.rpm, but got a message the archive type not supported.

HELP!
