Is it possible to report a thread which seems to be getting out of hand?
I started this one:
http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=104943
But it seems to have degenerated into an argument (in which I am not involved).
:(

How do I draw it to the attention of a moderator? IMO it needs either closing (since I have the answer I was looking for in the first post) or at the very least, a warning should be given...

I guess you could send a PM to a moderator. They should have the powers to close the thread I believe.

I guess you could send a PM to a moderator.Well that's an option, but which mod to send it to?

IMO, a better solution would be to have some method of reporting a post/thread which flags it in an area which all moderators of that forum (and only them) can see, and whoever is available at the time can look into it.

Also, since that particulat thread has (as far as I'm concerned) fulfilled its original purpose, which was to advise me about keyboards, I think it could be moved to the backyard to let the protagonists battle it out. ;)

there is a way of reporting. The little pink box at the top left corner of each post if you click on that you can report the post , this report is sent (email) to all Forum Staff and Administrators.

Yeah, I see it now. I thought there must be, but just couldn't remember where...

Thanks.
