Ubuntu Colors

On bootup and elsewhere the official Ubuntu colors are the orange brown family of colors.

I have read many posts in many forums on how many users are turned off by those colors. Personally I do not like them but I am sure some do.

I did read one article (cannot remember where) that Ubuntu was considering a charge of colors for an upcoming release but remember no details.

I did change everything and only see these colors now on bootup.

I would like to know what others think on this topic.

And I believe that the new color scheme is (finally) being discussed to be implemented in 9.10
