Hi guys!

I've been using Ubuntu for two days now, so I'm an absolute beginner. I just installed a program called "Drapes" (a wallpaper randomizer) and now I can't find it anywhere. Shouldn't it appear in the "Applications" menu somewhere? How do I run it?
When I enter "drapes" (just took a shot in the dark) in the Terminal, I get a series of error messages :-(

Thanks!
Matthias.

have you checked if it's in the System menu?

Also try checking the documentation of the software. -> terminal -> man drapes

According to the description in Synaptic, drapes is a panel applet, so right-click on an empty spot in your panel, click Add to Panel, and you should find it in the list.

I never could get the Drapes panel applet to work. Drapes is located in System-->Preferences.

Thanks guys, it's true, there it is! It crashed a couple times when I tried to set preferences, but ended up remembering them and now it seems to work. Do you know a better one by any chance? I'm basically looking for a small program that will change my wallpaper randomly at startup and then leave.
