Which do you think is better? KDE of GNOME?

This forum is heavily gnome orientated, so I don't think this poll will provide any useful info.
I'd say the end result is going to be:
Gnome: 90%
KDE: 10%
And if you post on Kubuntuforums.net it'll be the other way around.

KDE is OK but is a bit glitchy whenever I use it.

Use KDE on something other than Ubuntu-and it won't be glitchy.
Kubuntu has a special place in history as the bottom of the KDE barrel.

I like KDE better, but I didn't originally. I like the Debian distros, and Ubuntu is my favorite of those, so I use Kubuntu 8.04, which I have found to be very NON-buggy (unlike 8.10, which I also use).

I'd say:

since this is a multiple choice poll... *hit* *hint*

I do like where KDE is going, I find the design to be pretty darn stunning. However I always find something that bugs me about it. I hope that in the next couple of releases it gets a lot better. I might even give Slackware a chance when they implement KDE 4.2, until then I will be with Gnome.

Every time I launch OpenOffice, the launch menu thing goes weird

For me, Gnome's icons in Ubuntu seem to be better than Kubuntu's icons. Gnome also seems to have more customizability in regards to the -look.org sites. But other than that, the apps for KDE seem a lot better, and I haven't really tested KDE that much

The KOffice suite is terrible (apart from Kivio, but especially KWord), and AmoraK doesn't seem to allow you to import music from other hard-drives (which is especially important if you are using Wubi, like me,).

Sigh, GNOME, but that's just my opinion.

User of kde 4.2.1 here. Even though I have yet to migrate to amarok2.0, I can import my tunes from two different ntfs drives (winxp) into amarok1.4.10 with no problems ever since installing intrepid ibex when it came out last October.

If i click on 'import media', it only appears with directory in my Home area. Doesn't give any options for different drives or anything.
Anyway, I am using Rythembox in GNOME, and it is working fine, and I have also had a quick look at Elisa (http://elisa.fluendo.com/).

Gnome for me, though I might try KDE again when OpenSuSE makes their next major release. I'm not too particular about Kubuntu. I'd rather use Arch in that case because KDEmod rocks pretty hard too.
I think 4.2 was a big leap but there were just some bugs that caused me to switch back after about a week. Just small annoyances. Gnome is just more mature.

Would you expect anything less on a Gnome centric forum?

Gnome, KDE seems sloppy to me.

I voted both since I could. Hahah.
I currently use Gnome, but I might try KDE although I don't like how it's set up and everything.

KDE all the way.
If you don't like the way it looks fix it! Since 2.2.2 it's so much better!
Fast as well

:) I have had both installed for some time now and am preferring Kde (4.2), the compisiting by default (kwin) is bob on, So no need to install the third party compiz-fusion as is the case with Gnome. I do still very much like simple Gnome even though it may look and feel like it's been made from paper and scissors

GNOME. I HATE KDE's main menu. Huge and ugly.

You can replace it with any menu you want, including Gnome menu's. But lol I don't know how, but I've seen it done.

I always go for KDE these days. It's the best, according to my opinion.
Still, KDE is a bit heavy on the resources, so I wouldn't say that I'm satisfied with KDE on that part and I hope that the new versions of KDE 4 will evolve into something more efficient. Will it? :-/

KDE has ALWAYS been bloated, I doubt that'll change.

I choose Gnome at the moment. But there are some KDE applications, which are better then Gnome ones and I use them in Gnome.

I switched to Gnome from KDE, because KDE4 is really to complicated for me; I was loving KDE3 and now I'm discovering Gnome

This clock projects the time, date, or temp on the wall or ceiling http://www.liangdianup.com/clocks_1.htm some people call
it a ceiling clock but I call it a digital projection clock. I got the black one because at the time that was the only color
they had. But now they have them in black and also in white.
