Newbie question: Removing Gnome bar

Using Ubuntu 8.10
Running Virtualbox 2.14
Windows XP Guest

I wonder if it is possible to to show the gnome menu bars on a second workspace so I can run windows XP in seamless mode there without it overlapping the bars

Or better yet...having just the top bar on the second Workspace :)

There really is no way to do that. I get rid of one out of the two gnome bars and condense them into one bar. The way I run mine is XP bar on the bottom and Gnome bar on top. Works great for me.
