Does any one know of any good GUI tutorials for linux, more specifically, GTK wxWidgets or somethng. I have experience with Win32 API, and C and assembly programming.

For GUIs you don't need blazing fast low level languages (Assembly, C), since the speed in which actions and events occur is dictated by the user.

You can write GUIs in C (gtk comes to mind), C++ (wxwidgets), but it won't be painless.
