I just put Ubuntu on my laptop and i cant connect to any wireless networks. They dont even show under the terminal when i type iwlist scan. I believe it to be missing drivers. Any ideas?

First we need to know what kind of wireless card you have. What are the results of the following commands?

lshw -C network
lspci
