I have a dell dimension E310 running ubuntu, working perfectly until I intterupted a tasksel installation. No problem, I just ran

sudo apt-get autoremove ^lamp-server

and uninstalled it. Only Problem is that without fully noticing it at the time that uninstalled gdm. Upon reboot I was left without Gnome. If I can just reinstall gdm It'll be fine, but the wireless network doesn't work without gnome. I've tried several guides using wpa_supplicant but I am using a MSI PC60G ( rt61pci) for my wireless that doesn't seem to be supported. Is there any way I can get this to work? I have an old DWL-122 (prism2_usb) lying around, will that work?

Sorry about the length... Any help would be appreciated
