Plasma Decoration see pictrure 4
A Very very crazy idea... I'm thinking in a window decorator that uses plasma. With real transparencies and a good desktop integration.

Would be possible?

Different Wallpaper can be achieved by:

perVirtualDesktopViews=true
But you probably know that already. Last time I checked it didn't work nor in Kubuntu nor in KDE_neon.
And about your ideas: YES, YES, YES!
I like the "plasma" decoration idea. Even though I really like the way I made my Bespin look :D.
I hope that most of this will be in KDE4.3, at least the activity per desktop.

Yeah Yeah what about metal and glass (drool), maybe some fire.
And what's the button on top right of desktop for..I press and wowee my desktop zooms away leaving a messy transparent squared background (that's what I needed).

It's getting further and further away from being individual and original, to me this latest mock-up just looks like another skin for windows which is a crying shame...:(

Yeah KDE really needs some kind of overarching design principles. Right now they are just stuffing every design element from Gnome, Windows and Mac into one package and the result is fairly sickening. Those screenshots honestly make me feel claustrophobic.

NOOOOOO the Nuno Pinheiro's mockup is just the new theme "air" so, It doesn't mean that KDE4.3 will has a Dock like OsX.

In my mockup i'm not talking about new themes, appearance, desing, but I'm showing new applications, tools, and accesories for make more useful.

unfortunately I'm not a programmer,so I can't make or improve these ideas.

I love the idea of being able to set an individual set of plasmoids on each desktop.
I am not quite sure by what you mean by 'System tray improved' for picture 1?
'* Magic folder like Vista' - let's try to be creative and original here.
The rotating and resizing of panel widgets seems like a pretty cool idea actually.
Plasma as the window decorator (manager?) seems ambitious but it could come to be a good idea or a bad one.

Just my 2 cents.

The current systray doesn't work very good.

It's only the name, the concept is very useful.

Yep, I think the same, but would be interesting

These look cool. As stated above I see where your coming from where Kubuntu is going for like a Windows look, but I don't think it looks all that bad, I mean it looks decent.

Windows?! Its an identicle twin of OS X...

Something more original is needed though, agreed.
