Hey All,

I picked up a HVR-950Q today. I have downloaded the firmware and from what I read I take it the driver is already in 2.6.27-11. It seems to register OK when I check dmesg and loads up the firmware.

How do I actually set this card up in the backend. Under DVB it lists not the HVR-950Q as named but a AU8522 qam/8vsb front end. So I choose that and then setup my channel scan with broadcast, terrestrial 8VSB and it scan through the 81 channels but I get lock on like three or four, but when I try to view them they just say no lock and I get no audio likely for the weak signal.

So should the DVB card be seen as the HVR-950Q or the AU8522 and should I be scanning broadcast channels, I cannot find a very good how to on actually setting the card up in myth but only how to configure it in ubuntu.

Thanks,

Dave

I'm having pretty much the same problem. I have the same name detected in the backend, and using both an antenna, and cable, i get several channels detected. When I click on "watch TV" in the frontend, i get a blank screen for 2 seconds, and it goes back to the menu. I've been trying to get this working for 3 days using several programs, and i have yet to see an image, or get any sound. I can't believe this card was listed as supported under linux.

Also, does anyone have any clue on how to get the auxilliary input working? I would love to use this to play my video games if i ever get the other functions working

PS: I'm running Jaunty

I am trying to get it installed as well and have not figured it out, this thread is 6 months old and no responses. That's not very optimistic ... Does anyone have any ideas how to get this card to work??
