Schedules Direct updates show info, program isn't recorded

This has happened a few times in the past year (Super Bowl, Olympics, mainly live events) where the show info changes as it gets closer to being on.

Usually I pick the "Record only one showing of this title", but I think the title gets changed and Mythbuntu is unable to find the new title. It then doesn't record the show.

This isn't always a problem if I'm at home and I usually check on it every few days. But if I am traveling for more than two weeks (4-5 weeks), then I need to have it update the guide info, but at the same time not fail to record when the TV stations update the show info.

Does anyone have some tips for what I can try to make sure it will record? Do I need to do manual recordings for things I really want to make sure work? I will just unplug the network cable for short trips I think.

While you're on the road could you access Mythweb to schedule/check on your recordings?

There are two problems with that, but you may not have been aware of them. The first is that I ban myself from wasting time watching TV or using the internet when traveling. I spend enough time on-line when I'm at home, I don't need to go thousands of miles away to do the same thing. And I really don't want to even worry about Mythbuntu working or not when I am not here at home.

The second part is that where I go, the internet usually doesn't exist. If I'm down in the bottom of the Grand Canyon for a few days, I'll have some difficulty getting on-line for example.
